Meet the Crunchers: Edward Constancio, Head of Sales
We are highlighting stories from some of the amazing Crunchers that make Document Crunch successful. In today’s post, we speak with Edward Constancio, our Head of Sales.
What is your position at Document Crunch and what do you do in your role?
Vice President of Sales. I’m part of the Revenue Leadership Team and I’m responsible for growing new customer revenue.
How would your fellow employees describe you?
Some would say I am passionate, driven/hardworking and optimistic...But, I’ve recently heard...I kind of remind’em of Ted Lasso because of the willingness to tackle new opportunities, like the one at Document Crunch. Every day we are figuring out our direction and different tactics all the time. Apparently, Ted Lasso does this on a daily basis. While also reminding us that we are here to live our best lives and try our hardest at everything we do every single day.
What is a surprising or fun fact about you?
In a prior life, I used to teach Latin ballroom dancing. (Sounds...so long ago as I say it out loud)
Who or what inspires you the most?
This is probably my favorite question to answer. I grew up in a less than quaint 2-bedroom trailer with a total of 6 family members residing there. Let’s just say, my household wasn’t beaming with success stories. So...I leveraged this in my early career as fuel and decided that I would break the mold of who destiny thought I would become. All that being said, I’m inspired by individuals who through grit and determination change their trajectory by taking their destiny and turning it into a success story. We can all find success; we simply must get out of our own way.
What drew you to Document Crunch?
Technology innovation in the construction industry is one the toughest arenas to break into. IMO what makes it so tough is effective industry wide adoption seems to fall short with many new construction technologies. It was clear when I first met Josh (CEO), the more I spoke to him, the more I saw the vision, and the more I heard the passion. Document Crunch is a category creator for the construction industry. It’s not often you get an opportunity to join a team to help lead an organization that is on the cutting edge of innovation and literally creating their own category in a space where adoption is difficult. Challenge accepted! #CrunchTime
What do you like most about being a Cruncher?
Not sure you can get better than creating your own verbs & nouns...We have officially coined the terms Crunch & Cruncher. I look forward to reading in the Webster dictionary one day...
Verb: Crunch – to quickly identify provisions in a construction contract outside the scope of your risk profile
Noun: Cruncher – a user of Document Crunch who quickly identifies risk provisions and communicates what’s important to the project teams to proactively avoid claims and maximize profit margin.
